The Perfect Summer Day in the Lowcountry
Charleston is considered one of the best cities to live in because of the beautiful sights, sounds, and, waterways. With multiple activities to do, especially around summertime, people might get overwhelmed with so many different options. But we are here to help you with a few tips to plan the perfect day and enjoy the best the city has to offer!
It all starts with the perfect stay. A few of our favorites are located in the Historic Downtown Charleston such as The Dewberry Hotel, The Hotel Bennett, and The Charleston Place Hotel. These five star accommodations have amazing amenities and expierences that will make you feel welcome with Southern Hospitality!
To start your day off right, enjoy a pleasant walk from your hotel towards one of the best brunch places in the city, The Daily! The restaurant is a quick and thoughtful concept that leaves people replenished and nourished through excellent ingredients.
Moving on from a fabulous brunch, it's time to get your day out in the sun! No better way to explore the Lowcountry and see the beautiful views from the city than in the Charleston Harbor. Let’s go on a boat! Folly’s Best Yacht provides private accommodations for up to 6 people on 46 feet long, twin engine, motor yacht with a large, covered sundeck and a large rail open deck for sunning. The boat is piloted by a USCG Licensed Master Captain with over 40-year experience in the waters of Charleston. Additionally, we will have a mate/steward on board to assist with your needs, service and safety. We depart from Charleston City Marina with the option of private pick up upon request, and then head to a set destination determined by the crew and passengers together, with the option of stopping at a private island to enjoy some water break during the warm days of summer in South Carolina!
After this amazing trip on the water, another activity that one can not miss when traveling to Charleston is a sunset at a rooftop bar! A few of our favorites are Grand Bohemian Hotel, The Cocktail Club, Fiat Lux, Starts, and The Rooftop Bar at Vendue. You will get to enjoy special and unique cocktails while appreciating the beautiful view of the Holy City.
To end the night, head to our favorite steakhouse in the city, Halls Chop House. The Hall family opened the doors of Halls Chophouse Charleston in 2009, but their pursuit of exceptional hospitality started long before. Bill Hall spent more than forty years of his career operating hotels and restaurants. After their daughter Stacey moved to the Holy City to attend the College of Charleston, Mr. and Mrs. Hall decided to plant roots in the Lowcountry and open a restaurant of their own. Halls Chophouse had it all: the finest steaks money could buy, an extensive wine list, hearty family-style sides, but it was the service and warmth of the staff that set them apart.
We hope you have an epic and memorable day enjoying all the wonders the City of Charleston has to offer!
